EYCE Interreligious Campaign Against Fundamentalism:
EYCE Inter-religious Campaign to Overcome Fundamentalism will be present at Ecumenical Kirchentag
Last weekend, an international team planned EYCE’s contribution to the 2nd Ecumenical Kirchentag in Munich, Germany. Three workshops in the Youth Centre will feature the Campaign to Overcome Fundamentalism which is currently being run by EYCE and it’s inter-religious partners.
â₏ŞOur campaign becomes lively in our seminars and training courses. Our workshops at the Ecumenical Kirchentag will introduce the Campaign to young people from Germany and all over Europe. Inter-religious dialogue becomes practical and we want to encourage people to get involved,â₏œ says Catharina Covolo, Vice-Chairperson of EYCE and member of the preparatory team.

From 12th to 16th May 2010, over 100.000 participants will gather in Munich to hold the second Ecumenical Kirchentag (â₏ŞÃ–kumenischer Kirchentagâ₏œ). With the theme â₏ŞThat you may have hopeâ₏œ (I Peter 1,21) people from the whole of Germany and from all over the world will join together in promoting ecumenism, giving it a human face and advancing co-operation between Christians.

EYCEâ₏™s workshops will be situated in the Youth Centre of the Ecumenical Kirchentag, a place where mostly young people will offer information stands, workshops and activities to young visitors. The concrete venue of the workshops will be published on Bullet1 www.eyce.org in due time.
