“Then he said to them, 'Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.'"

Nehemiah 8, 10

I. Updated program

Friday, 18 October 2019

On Friday noon the early arrivers meet at the parish center of the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde in der Friedrichstadt for a light lunch. For the afternoon we have planned an ecumenical and sightseeing activity. Details will follow soon in particular on how to join the activity later and the exact schedule.

Please let us know your scheduled arrival time so that we can proceed with planning!

On Friday night after the official opening and welcome we will have the traditional international banquet. Please bring something special from your country. It may be food or something to drink - something sweet or something spicy,... We are also curious about cultural contributions such as songs, dances, etc. Share with us something about where you are coming from.

Saturday, 19 October 2019

The Saturday we will spend at the premises of Patmos congregation. Transfer from the accomodations will be arranged.

The program in the morning will focus on the past five decades of EYCE. Various people will share memories about how EYCE looked like and what EYCE achieved during their time. Together we will assemble the bits and pieces that form EYCE's history and discover how the organisation developed over half a century.

In the afternoon we will hear from the current EYCE generation about the organisation today. This will be the basis for later discussions about EYCE's role in future during the second part of the afternoon.

After all the work we will be finally ready for the party part of the day: the anniversary celebrations - we will spend a great evening with presentations, photos, songs and of course good food and drinks.

Sunday, 20 October 2019

Every good weekend has to come to an end at some point. On Sunday we will close the Alumni Meeting as well as the General Meeting with an ecumenical service at the Patmos church in Berlin.
