Called to freedom, justice and peace! Galatians 5:13

Join one of the International Planning Teams to work on youth participation!

2026 EYCE will work on a workplan under the title: Empowering Young Christian Voices: Spaces, Participation and Advocacy. Within this workplan we are planning 2 activities. In June and September next year.

We want to take a look at different denominational and cultural contexts, how does participation work and how can we empower young people in churches to take their role to not only engage but to participate in churches, christian organisations and ecumenical councils.

These are the leading questions for the activities:

Activity 1: How do young people participate? What are their spaces for decision making? How can they influence?

Activity 2: What can we do to promote youth spaces? How can we enhance and advocate for better youth participation?

Both activities will contribute to the development of an Ecumenical Youth Participation Guide. The guide will be a useful tool for church leaders to understand better what youth participation is all about and to help young Christians throughout Europe to advocate for their spaces.

What you bring?
Passion for empowering young voices
Experience in youth work
Familiar with some sort of church contexts
Eagerness to talk about power in church
Drive to change and raise awareness
