It may seem that in such a situation an organisation like EYCE loses its importance. But in historical retrospect, the responsibility of EYCE looks quite different: We maintain a posture. We pray for peace. We stand for exchange and understanding.

We are the generation of peace.

National Correspondence Meeting - Save the Date!

We are planning our upcomming NC's Meeting in Romania! It will take place near Kronstadt/Brașov from 16th to 19th of June 2022. The Executive Committee is working on the Agenda and together with our Romanian Member Organisation Evangelical Church A.B. we are preparing all the organisational details. It is planned to sent out the invitation to this important meeting in April. But we would like to ask you already to keep this date free. On any reason we can not meet in person, the NC's Meeting will be held online via zoom from 17th to 18th of June 2022.

ECEN Assembly

The 14th Assembly of European Christian Environmental Network will take place online 14th and 15th of June 2022. The Assembly will offer a broad ecumenical platform for strengthening cooperation and for sharing activities related ecology, climate change, climate justice and nature protection among representatives from Anglican, Orthodox, Protestant and Roman Catholic Churches. For the second time, EYCE has the ability to send youth participants to the Assembly which has the topic "Challenges we are living in". The program of the Assembly is varied, and to get a taste of it all we can mention eco-theology, climate change, eco-management, biodiversity and nature protection, environmental education and transition. The youth participants will also be a part of a workshop before the ECEN Assembly itself with the aim of getting to know each other, get more knowledge about what ECEN is and the topic of the Assembly. Also we will dig into what is of special concern of the youths. This Workshop will take place online on the 9th of June in the afternoon and the 11th of June in the morning. We will post information about the application process in the middle of April on our social media platforms so stay tuned!

WCC Pre Assembly - Ecumenical Youth Gathering (EYG)

EYCE is invited by the World Council of Churches (WCC) to send up to 10 participants to the EYG from 27th to 30th August 2022. Board and lodging are covered by WCC. For travel costs and registration fee we will provide additional information to interested people as soon as possible. If you are interested to take part in the Ecumenical Youth Gathering, age between 18 and 30 and you are not a stewart or a youth delegate or advisor to the 11th WCC Assembly, please send a short application to general.secretary@eyce.org. We are happy to recieve your application by 20th of April 2022.

Dates

Here are a few heads-up what is going to happen this year and you should keep it in mind or give it some space in your calendar. Also, share those dates with any other young people whom you think might be interested :) Keep in mind, we live in a pandemic, so dates might change, but we will keep you updated if that were to happen.

EYCE is still organised only by volunteers. They do their best to keep the daily operations running. If you have any questions or ideas, please contact us via general.secretary@eyce.org or via social media - the channels are checked daily. 

To get to know the new ExCo please check our Webpage. With some of you we already started to have bilateral conversations, if you have not recieved a request until now you are no forgotten and we will get in contact as soon as possible! 

We are interested in your thoughts regarding the war in Ukraine and we would like to invite you to share everything related. The ExCo would like to see if we can publish some thoughts on our social media channels and also we would like to post a statement.

In the moment the ExCo is working on applications of European Youth Foundation to get some funding for activities next year. If you are interested to contribute as Teamer to an activity or if you want to help in the application process, please contact Hannah. Thank you very much!
