International Planning Committee in Palermo

We will gather to Palermo, Italy in August to discuss the role of churches in the modern society. The event will be packed with interesting topics, discussion, guests, activities, and great people to hang around.

The goal of the event is to develop a vision of the role of churches in a modern, increasingly secular and diverse society. In which area of the society do the churches have an effect and in which not, even thought they should?  We also want to explore whether the churches will be outdated or important actors in society in the future.

During this event you will

  • gain knowledge about the relationship between churches and state in various European countries and the role of churches in these countries;
  • study what churches currently get from and return to society. In this field, you can develop new ideas in order to improve the importance of the church in the current society;
  • hear great guest speakers serving their points of view on the matter;
