Stewards’ Programme at 14th CEC General Assembly

Then, the CEC General Assembly Stewards’ Programme may be something for you!
Where? When?
The Stewards’ Programme of the 14th CEC General Assembly will take place from July 1 – 8, 2013, including preparatory programme and General Assembly, in Budapest, Hungary.
What is a Stewards’ Programme?
The Stewards programme is a special volunteers’ programme for persons from 18 – 30 years of age, aiming at giving ecumenical formation to young people, as well as providing logistical assistance to major ecumenical events.
The CEC General Assembly in Budapest will have a stewards’ programme for 30 young persons, lasting from July 1st to 8th, 2013. Ecumenical Youth Organisations in Europe are partners in the programme; SYNDESMOS – The World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, the World Student Christian Federation Europe (WSCF Europe), European YWCA, Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe (EYCE) and YMCA Europe (European Alliance of YMCA).
The venue will be Budapest for the whole programme. The programme consists of two parts; the first part will be ecumenical formation, team building, information and training for the General Assembly. Part of this programme will be conducted jointly with the preparation of the youth delegates to the assembly.
What will be the tasks?
In the second part stewards will be working in teams with specific tasks, assisting staff in the smooth running of the Assembly. The work can be intense, but also fulfilling. Tasks vary from:
– Assisting in the assembly office (reception, information desk, administrative assistance, personal assistance)
– Plenary hall (preparing the hall and group rooms for sessions, welcoming delegates, distributing materials and interpretation equipment)
– Media and press (assisting journalists, distributing documents)
– Worship (assisting the worship Committee in preparing worship sessions and distributing materials)
